Btc has yet to see true adoption: has a single government even tried to openly trace the chain and require people to declare their btc holdings? Once that happens everyone will realize BTC should have been private from the start and all hodlers will fomo into xmr and zcash, zencash, etc... They already have enough info to trace people through chain analysis and coinbase data: if you don't declare your holdings you'll be thrown in jail, goverents will start blacklisting coins, a shit ton of crap is gonna go down

As for a store of value, if ether loses it's value as money then miners will just stop fucking mining, it's as simple as that and this point cannot be refuted. If that happens the entire network including link and 0xbtc will go to shit. Ether *needs* to not only have value but maintain it's value for ethereum to be mined.
