Honestly if automakers didn’t have to comply with all these stupid fucking government restrictions and fines and shit vehicles would be profitable. But cars have to have a certain MPG and safety rating or they get fined and taxed to hell. Stop putting stupid expensive computer chips in them and fucking touch screen tablets with shitty fucking software. If I want navigation I’ll use my god damn phone, it has a better interface than whatever shitty proprietary software they paid hundreds of millions of dollars for some 3rd world street shitters to develop.

I unironically found a gem, all black grand Marquis (crown Vic but nicer) with 20k miles, black leather interior, time capsule kept for $7k, sold the day I went buy it.

Serious question. How much of the blame is on automakers and how much is on gubmint?

I know the gubmint has put a ton of regulations on vehicles needing a certain MPG/safety rating. How much is this to blame for the current price of vehicles ?
