Gonna do a series of on-site interviews for a major American company in a few days for a post-PhD position.
I was packing the full suit because it's just what you do for any job interview here in France, and then someone pointed to me that the convention might be different in America.
What do? Should I just go with the blazer + dark jeans + open shirt collar casual combo instead?

I'm gonna have to end up caring one way or another. I've heard some people in high-tec find suits unbearable because it looks like you're trying to cover up your incompetence.
