>How is zcash when compared to monero in privacy?

On-chain privacy is currently somewhat better in theory because outputs are also fully shielded. But this sole advantage will evaporate soon once Monero ditches ring signatures for full-chain membership proofs using Bulletproofs+, which rely on more simpler and more battle-tested cryptographic primitives than ZEC's zk-SNARKs.

In any case, the relevant anonymity set is actually much smaller because only like 10% of ZEC TXs are shielded, the rest being fully transparent like BTC. Optional privacy is a fucking joke.

Otherwise, Zcash doesn't auto-shield IP addresses like Monero does, so that potentially identifying data is leaked every time you make a TX.

Also, relying on super-complex moon math = no hardware wallet support for shielded TXs, no multisig either.

And the less said about their submissive compliance cuck corporate culture the better.
