Honestly, we could unironically drop a nuke at this point, then turn around and tell the world that some Chinese madman attempted a first strike only for the warhead to go off on launch, and they'd just go with it. Nobody likes them, nobody in the region bears them anything but animosity, and its clear they can't even do biowarfare research without Chinese Quality (TM) ruining everything.

A currency that nobody trades in or holds if they can avoid it. There's a reason HK is a financial center more than Shanghai, despite them both being SEZs. And if the CCP keeps going in on ignoring their HK sovereignty agreement a lot of that financial clout is probably moving to Singapore.

No body wants to be invested in an economy (not just a currency) that only exists at the whim of the government. Least of all any Chinese person with means and brains, which is why capital is flying out China at mach 8 and buying all that property in Canada, AUS, and the US. Their economy is made out of even more unstable fuckfuck games than ours, and is almost 17x more over-leveraged than ours. The only way I'd accept Yuan is if they were giving it away for free, blockchain or not.
