I ran a simulation based on capital inflows, as far as I understand (masters degree in mathematics) the theoretical market cap limit based on global GDP, it is perfectly reasonable for the market cap in USD of a good to exceed global GDP given a theoretical situation where 5% of the total supply of bitcoin is transacted in proportion to 10% of global GDP. This would mean a marketcap of 160 trillion.
I fully expect BTC to achieve this in 6 years or less.
