I own an S-Corp with access to a business line of credit that I've never needed to tap. Got a notice today that for a limited time, any loan balance will receive a rate of prime-minus-1% for the lifetime of that balance.

Can my S-Corp borrow the money and loan it to a shareholder at the same rate without a "constructive dividend" scenario?

condoning option 2 implicitly tells your girlfriend that you value her income more than her dignity/comfort level, and that you are comfortable with other men ogling what should be yours exclusively to see. option 1 isn't ideal i suppose, but as you said it may be entirely temporary. even if option 2 is only for a short period of time, the statement will stand. never give her something she could throw in your face later
