If that actually happened, wealthy people would just move to NZ or Iceland, incentivize all the poors to leave the island, then develop literal citadels. You'd have atleast hundreds of miles of ocean between you and the poors. If you had real influence in the world you could get google to delete the existence of such an island from any digital records. Poorfags wouldn't even know you or your automated citadel exist. Something like this probably already exists to a certain degree on this planet.

This applies to every generation though. Average salary in the 60s was +5,000 and average home price was less than 12,000. You could literally pay off a home working a factory job for three years. Imagine being 70+ and not being worth hundreds of millions of dollars today.
