The most brutal redpill you can take regarding silver is that it's the opposite of a hedge against inflation. You take this redpill by simply zooming out: Silver was $49 in 2011 and today it's crabbing around at $24 and that's with inflation having massively increased since 2011 and exponentially going up -- but wait, it's even worse; it was nearly $50 in 1980 and since 1980 inflation has increased even more than since 2011.

Mainly because they really, really, really don't want to let go of their idea and their mental image they have that it was Sephiroth, THE Sephiroth, the real one, that "big bad cool Sephiroth", that killed Aeris, and replace that false idea with the knowledge that Aeris was killed by a female space alien. And also because people generally just don't like to admit to themselves that they've misunderstood something for a long time.
