The Blue House (Korean counterpart of the White House in the US) just confirmed that the recent announcement by the Ministry of Justice that exchanges would be shut down does not represent the opinion/policy of the government as a whole.

They're saying that different ministries have different ideas on what to do with crypto. Ministry of Justice wants to shut it down. Ministry of Finance wants to curb anything resembling a pyramid scheme. Ministry of Science & Technology is interested in blockchain technology and wants to encourage development, etc.

They say they're going to observe the market for a while and come to a conclusion when policy decisions will have the most impact.

So another FUD, this time perpetuated by some dumb old man - Minister of Justice Park Sang Ki.
