I'm reading about the hbar algorithm and don't understand this part.
How would Alice know what the last event Bob created was? Equally how does Bob know what the last event Alice created was? Sure Alice can look in her hashgraph and see what was the last event she received whose self-parent was Bob, but what if Alice and Bob disagree because Bob sent two messages out at the same time, Alice not having received the other yet?
