Syria is a lost cause. Assad has one and is letting the Russians rebuild the country. Russian banks and construction companies are going to profit heavily and Western companies are excluded.

However Venezuela looks hopeful. With the failing socialist government it's likely they might resort to mass privatization like a lot of failed socialist states do. If they do it's likely American companies are going to move in to reap some of the low valued assets. How does one fine out which companies are doing so since it is technically all public info.

I can't even find which corporations specifically bought out Iraqs privatized banks and oil fields in 2009 and that is all public info. So where does one fine out the specifics of this.
