its a disaster
houses start at 500k
apartments maybe 200k
I live in one of the most expensive RE regions in Germoney. the net median income of the krautfag is 1,600 euros, so do the math.
prices have exploded since they flooded the country with millions of immigrants in 2015. because, shocker, all these people actually have to live somewhere.
now they also started a CO2 tax so gas and heating got even mroe expensive
we also got electricity prices thtat are probably the highest in the world because our genius leaders decided to wreck all nuclear plants and go for muh green energy. so instead of producing our own power we now buy it at a surplus from other countries
Im literally shopping for apartments right now and most places are just boxes of people stacked wall to wall and Im very sensitive to noise. Im dreaming of a house somwehere in the country, ideally near the woods with no neighbours. but Im totally priced out of even renting such aplace. the only option I have is move way out in the sticks and rent some shit tier house thats 100 years old and never see my friends and family again. meanwhile every boomer houseowner is now a millionaire because they bought houses for cheap 30 years ago. btw the politicians solution to all of this is to restrict rental prices... which will ead to even less houses being built. absolute genius. and of course we always need more immigrants, higher CO2 tax and green energy
