when /g/ got subverted, it was more gradual, because there was so little pushback. here there's really a fight to subvert. once it gets rolling, you got both sides (whichever they may be on that day!!! not the same everyday) going teeth and nails at it. it may actually be the same source.

> when antifa started out, they tried to call out the extreme voices on the right. they got subverted with accounts pretending to be antifa, and voicing very extreme opinions (sounding like alt-right should be killed off, exterminated, executed, etc). those were actually alt-right users pretending to be antifa. at that point the damage was done, and there was nothing they could do to go back, as 1. actual extreme left members joined the antifa movement and started sounding just that extreme, and 2. anonymity makes traceability and proveability of framing very difficult
tl;dr
the whole point of this is the minute they're spotted, they deflect blame to another party. classic russian tactic. they did the same on /g/ when we started pushing back. every time someone called attention to disinformation, he's a schizo needing meds, a roastie, a shit-streeting pajeet, or a workplace diversity tranny. not just one reply, a swarm of them, making the accusation "real".
