Yeah, the fan-made Blood expansion is my favorite single-player FPS experience of the last few years.
Developers broadly seem to have forgotten what makes games fun, only fixating on ways to keep players logging in to check the cosmetic store.
There are still good ones though, I really enjoyed playing Titanfall 2 (RIP Respawn) with autists from /vg/.

Great advice, if I could do it over again I'd study Electrical Engineering instead of bumming around Community Collage for 5 years then transferring to a meme Computer Science degree.
Just actually pick something and live it for a few years so you can get paid enough to change your mind in a decade or so.
Of course if I knew then what I know now I'd be able to leverage myself to early retirement while delivering pizzas.
