SOXL is just 3x the underlying SOXX index. SOXX is down 31% year to date, yes that is a lot, however....When/where the market bottoms, we will have a huge gain gain one year out.

In March 2009 to March 2010 the S&P500 went up 50%, and the Nasdaq went up 80%. From the COVID bottom to the top, SOXX went up 207%, but SOXL went up 1510%, that's more than 3x. If SOXL goes to 5$, and we get a 80% rally in SOXX, it's mathematically possible we see SOXL at 30$ one year out
