Alright /biz/, I came here to tell you about Fog aggregation nodes.
So listen the fuck up, you might learn something for once.
-------------------------------------------------------
Core concepts you should research:
Fog computing (Edge computing standard defined by Cisco, refined by OpenFog Consortium)
Software Defined Networking (SDN)
Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
IoT
5G
-------------------------------------------------------
So, we're heading towards the 2020's. What's the major emerging tech trend? How can we profit from it?
I'll tell you if you haven't paid any attention whatsoever. It's 5G and IoT you retards.
These buzzwords keep getting spewed out by literally everyone. For a reason. Fucking everything is getting automated for reason X or Y. Every device has to have a fuckton of sensors for whatever reason. The bottom line is that data transmission is about to explode, and the underlying infrastructure to allow for it is fucking fog computing. Smart cities, self-driving cars, drones, smart phone functions, AI etc etc. Everything is gonna rely on fog computing. It's predicted that 45% of the worlds' data is going to be near the network edge. Market size will go from 4 billion to nearly 20 billion within few years.

Now how do you wanna decentralize and secure the data transmission, while keeping it, say, GDPR compliant?
Sure, you can get some SDN and NFV enabled devices to carry out the tx/rx flow and jump through few hoops, but why would you when you can use motherfucking FOG AGGREGATION NODES?
Think about it, specialized, secure, anonymous, BLAZINGLY FAST 5G/IoT/Computational nodes that cover your local geographical area. Do you want to own a node, anon?
Well fuck me and fuck YOU!
You fuckwits think iExec RLC is about scaling some shitty cryptokittens on ETH? No, you reduce the network backhaul load and kill latency by deploying RLC nodes. Who wants this? Service providers, because it cuts costs and improves QoS (Quality of Service).

Why are you comparing apples to oranges you absolute retard? iExec is first and foremost a fog computing platform. You know, the networking tech that doesn't even exist in consumer use yet. Oh, did I say networking and not computing? Wait, iExec does computing AND networking? Wow, it's almost like it's a completely different project to your supercomputer. Low latency distributed computing, which enables efficient streaming. Like Nvidia grid but on steroids? What? Who? Idk maybe I'm just delusional and spewing words I don't understand. Or you're the retard here. Idk man.

It's basically making the internet more efficient by implementing load-balancing and dynamic routing just like you would with IS-IS or OSPF within an intranet, but internet wide. Nowadays all of the internet routes and domains are cached into a huge fucking backbone. This routing table is suspectible to false routes via BGP route injections. BGP is old as fuck protocol which has security flaws. These security holes are not being patched, people just trust those central entities to not advertise false routes. So reducing SPOFs (Single Point Of Failure) and eliminating trust from routing you'll have more secure network aswell. IDK about this shit since I haven't actually studied NKN but this is my take on it, and what it brings to the table.
