I am looking at you.

I have legitimately pondered the possibility that there are 2 people in me, that is, that the brain has the capacity to run 2 completely genuine personalities, with different tastes and opinions, not like the meme of multiple personality disorder, where the personalities are believed to be an illusion or a trick of the mind. What I mean is that there is a real person stuck in my brain, watching what I do, and only able to influence minor things in my behavior from time to time. Sort of like the notion of unconscious behavior, but with a full person.
I say this because sometimes I do mistakes, or in general just do some action, that ends up hurting someone else, and looked from the outside, that action looks like revenge or envy, but I truly harbour no hard feelings against that person, and I believe in forgiveness and understanding.
I also find myself sometimes taking actions that are very ambitious, and those are actions that I didn't think about a lot, but after the fact I realise they are things that could profit me in the future. One could interpret that as that 2nd person manipulating me into getting into a place of power, so he could wreak havoc on others.

I don't actually think this is true, but sometimes it does look a lot like it is.
