Energy prices are what they are because Europe has failed to prepare. Specifically, Germany has failed to prepare, and they have the gall to complain, while they in fact have been the most privileged country in Europe and their fellow EU members have been suffering way worse. Again, I salute their willingness to wean off Russian gas, and I very well hope they don't collapse and bring the whole continent down with them. But they should have weaned sooner and have been more prepared for it, it's just a fucking fact.
