the problem with gemstones is you really need to know what your working with. In a lot of respects its similar to the fine art trade.

gemstones may look nice but often dont hold their value the same way PMs do. Also its getting more difficult to spot lab made vs naturally occurring stones too. I love them as natural treasure all the same though.

Find an old timer and apprentice under them. Many are very lonely and will take any conversation they can get. The old dude I trained under has been visiting a lot, he fears the worlds falling apart.
