I already live here and this country is a shithole. The only way you would live well here is, if you come with enough money already because wages are shit too. If you have enough money you could buy a piece of land and build a house by yourself, but it's most likely better to come if you know someone here already who can guide you into the way of life here, Colombians will try to rip you off if they sense you are not from here. Careful with the women here, they WILL pay attention to you only due to you being a gringo and having money. Be even more careful with whores.
