So let's say the team or Sergey on some stage announces mainnet in 1 month. What would happen? Is it priced in because of the endless statements by the team that "Q2 this year confirmed", "only waiting for audits" etc etc...

I think it would pump as swing traders who were short at the time would buy in quickly and get ready. But I wouldn't say it would be that significant. Could it dump? Yes, it probably will shortly after the pump and depends on how the announcement is made and was is said. Maybe they already crush some expectations of big players joining or maybe they announce that everybody will use it and we won't have a dump at all.

Now let's say Mainnet date is known and it's the big day. It happens, chainlink is live and nodes are going online. I think there could be 3 scenarios.

>from the start we see swift and axa and ibm and these lads using chainlink for their services that are still work in progress
>price pumps so hard, little singularity to maybe even 5-10$

>nothing happens, nodes go online but don't get many jobs
>price dumps hard because le sell the news and no new information on scope of this whole thing, actually disappointment

>net goes live and there are some jobs, half of sergeys stack starts getting distributed to online nodes as a basic income kind of thing or a bonus payment on top of job rewards
>price starts pumping to a 2-3x because neets see the instant and certain rewards and spin up nodes

I think there are arguments to be made for all of these cases, maybe not in an extreme way. Do you think the current sentiment on mainnet is so big that it's basically priced in and the announcement will be the dump?
