I shorted at 7400

I had about $8,500 in Phore that I was going to cash out to wipe out my credit card debt in January.

It was and still is on Coinsmarkets. It's currently worth about $2,900.

My dad spent $300 on pencil sharpners that he keeps in an upstairs drawer. He insists that pencils will be obsolete in 4 years and the sharpners will become antiques he can sell for at least $40 a piece.

I don't know. I just wish he wasn't so defensive about it.

So, I'm rebuilding credit and have had a Cap1 Platinum Mastercard for over 2 months now.

I knew the billing statement would be coming around the past few days to bill me for December (I paid long ago for my 12/8 November deadline in full, and continued to use it occasionally afterwards), so I decided to be slick and only pay $86.16, leaving a dollar behind so I could still show credit utilization for the next bill.

Turns out Cap1 made a one dollar "Charge Adjustment" payment on my accounrt, to make my total paid the full $87.17.

Did I fuck up? Does this mean my December statement will show 0% credit use and be a wasted billing period, now? As I understand it, you obviously should always pay off your bill in full, but you should also show some credit usage by letting a balance generate in the first place.
