There never was a need for the second layer. They misrepresented Satoshi's vision and told us that the Lightning Network would bring Decentralization.

They were lies. There was only rent-seeking. They created a fee market and sold us segwit. They created a fee spike and sold us Lightning Network. They created a Banking side chain and called it Bitcoin Liquid.

And more and more they told us of external enemies. Of Roger the scammer, Coinbase the unfaithful, Bitpay the traitor, and other sinners of bcash.

Even today they come to us, slandering those names and spitting on Satoshi's. They know not the white paper. They have not read it.
