You are completely misunderstanding me and literally putting words in my mouth. I’m VERY pro landlord. I just think real estate prices should only rise to match inflation. Then I could buy even more rentals. Maybe even get a bigger house with the extra money I save. But most importantly the social contract will be broken if housing remains unaffordable. Why should the working class labor without the carrot on the stick? Rising residential real estate values benefits no one and threatens the very core of this country. I will watch Canada’s collapse from this issue with great intrigue and hope the same doesn’t happen here.
