I'm a computer programmer for about 4-5 years

>What do you like about it?
Depending on the manager, flexible work hours. Not having to do manual work. Not having to formally dress up and wear comfortable gear.

>What don't you like?
The turnover rate and uncertainty due to changing technology. It's almost a norm to find a new job. Job interviews as a software developer is brutal. There are many bad managers in the industry because they are engineers with no social skills.

>Are you payed fairly?
Yes. If you hone your skills correctly, you can get paid very well.

>Where can your work bring you?
I presume you mean what are the positives? As I said, flexible work hours and the ability to remote work. I feel like given how much we get paid and potential to get paid, there is relative less stress involved.

>Do you regret starting in this line of work?
I've always wanted to be a computer programmer/IT growing up. Never imagined I would get paid this much. However, there are a lot of bullshit (managers, coworkers, etc.) to deal with which makes me question on some days.
