I didnt get an email yest but have withdrawn 13k over summer and absolutely shat my pants yesterday when i saw the news. Not using jewbase again to cash out though. How hard is the Series 7 exam? I'm studying for it right now to become a stockbroker. I'm worried I may not pass the exam. I got my master's degree in engineering. I know some stuff about the stock market in general as I've bought stocks before for my retirement account.

I'm freaking out. I'm 23 have a year of college generalized credits. I have no idea what to major in or what to do. I owe my school money right now for my transcripts so I can't do school now.

I've only seen one successful person in my life before and it was my ex's aunt who made 200k a year and lived in a nice ass house. It doesn't seem like I'll be able to ever get to half of that. I really want to dedicate myself but I come from poverty and live in the woods so I don't have a lot.

American here. /biz/ I have a serious dilemma concerning my assets in China. I haven't told anyone about this.

I traveled to Hong Kong to meet my friend from Shenzhen two years ago and gave him $100,000 to put in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. My initial $100,000 investment is now worth $5,100,000 and I'm looking at bringing that money back to the states. I wonder how I'm going to be able to do that considering China is really restrictive in moving money out of their country. I also know that the FEDs will wonder too.

What to do?

I just figured out I got my identity stolen.

What do I do? I've already called the credit card company and put a block on the card. My problem is that when they first started calling me over it (the fraudulent charges) I thought they were calling me over a late bill, so I had them sent me a new bill (with only that month's statement of charges on it, no charges from the previous month where all the fraudulent charges were made were stated on it) so I paid it in full (along with a late fee). Can I still fight the fraudulent charges or am I fucked because I already paid it?

In case that wasn't clear enough, the events were as follows:

- December: I spend money on my card, and fraudulent charges are made. The bill for that month is mailed and I never open it because I was busy
- January: I get a call, have them mail me a new bill, which I mailed out on the 9th and was processed
- today: open up the December bill (to make sure I can dump it) and see $700 worth of charges I know I did not make (it was used on a google store account, which I don't have)

so am I fucked? I'm headed down to the bank that issued the credit card to me tomorrow to try and sort it all out. I have all my statements.

My new ploy to get myself to work is to tell myself that, from now on, for every hour I don't waste on the internet, I'll have + £1000 in my bank when I'm 40.

I think it'll look more valuable on my CV than a brainless and thoughtless part time job stacking shelves but I'm not an outgoing person (I'm a fully paid up member of the r9k community, although only because of ugliness and on social life, I'm not fat or anything).
