What are you tips or tricks for finding promising new projects that could yield significant returns.

Obviously, you check out the project and the team and see if it's a legitimate project that you can see surviving. But when you're starting out your hunt for the next big project, what do you do? Do you go to Coingecko and sort by new or marketcap?
