Not really.
Latest reactors are incredibly safe (they turn themselves off when power is cut) and they can literally be powered by Nuclear "waste". The US has enough of this waste to meet their energy demands (at current levels) for decades - virtually unlimited, green energy, available locally and modularly, reliably, insatantly, extremely compact and easy on the grid.
Of course, this mustn't be allowed or all the money grabbing Renewable scams will implode. So corrupt politicians and the media will prevent Nuclear at all costs. Don't expect a single new reactor starting construction in the next 5 years in the US.
