What is DD for crypto? I've been investing in traditional stocks since I began investing recently, but I'm interested in getting into crypto. The only hesitation I have is my uncertainty as to what is considered adequate research before buying.

I don't have a CS degree, so I don't have the ability to determine a cryptocurrency's intrinstic value.

Should I transition from stocks to options? I have a comfy institutional investor account mostly in typical slow moving ETFs, managed by a tribe member. For my retail account, however (where only a fraction of my money goes), I'm thinking that buying and holding individual stocks long term is less wise since it's essentially gambling money and the point is to try to hit it big with individual picks, not 10-15 year holds.

What is /smg/'s opinion on cryptocurrency institutional investors? I don't want to just plunge into crypto at random and lose my money to Prakesh Xiang, but I like the idea of taking advantage of the potential surges in value that is more characteristic of crypto than sotcks, but in a less dangerous way than doing it all myself.
