The tether fud is a great IQ test people who understand markets use to make new crypto investors make mistakes.

It's effectively a meme to anyone with experience, here's why:

There are two types of exchanges: banked and unbanked. If you're trading the USD pair on coinbase you're trading against an asset that can be deposited directly in your bank account like cash.

There are overseas unbanked exchanges that typically make lots of money with leverage trading. They trade against tether, which can be "minted" and burned at will without an immediate need for USD backing because you can't withdraw to a bank. I won't go into detail about how stupid leverage trading against an exchange that controls the spot price is, but the moment a sucker transfers btc/eth to a non-banked exchange, it's effectively like money put into chips at a casino and there's almost no chance it's not all getting lost.

Now think about what happens if tomorrow there is 100% irrefutable evidence that tUSD is backed by nothing but thin air (cont'd).

Have spent countless hours studying charts. Once we breach 20 it is going to explode straight to 40-50 followed by pullback to 30. This will be followed by a run up to 75-100 around March. Enjoy linkies. You earned this.

This may be the most insanely bullish piece of CL news since they announced arbitrum.
There's been zero discussion about what implicit vs explicit staking means with respect to a non-mining non-blockchain oracle network.

Tell me why this means 1000eoy is fud
