Honestly you only need three things.
>A shotgun:
Good old OU from Browning or whatever you want

>A bolt action in a good caliber suited to your country:
.223/.308 in general
30-06 in the US
8mm Mauser in Central Europe
7.62 in eastern Europe
Etc.

>A simple .22 rifle for 200 bucks and a 1000 bullets for threefiddy

Optional:

Glock 19, Revolver, whatever suits your fancy


If shit hits the fan you want to have something to shoot animals. Something easy to maintain and simple to repair with minimal equipment and a huge amount of spare parts and ammo available in your region.
The .223 AR-15 is nice but you are not trying to wage war with artillery assistance and squad tactics, you are trying to go out and shoot a rabbit or two.
