I was putting 2% of every paycheck towards future clothing purchases but I haven't bought clothes in months. i just don't need to. Happy to buy something nice every now and then like a nice pair of shoes or a good jacket that I know will last. Sometimes though, I spend $200 on a pair of sneakers and the sole comes off in like a month... Then I buy a $15 pair that lasts for over a year.
I try to buy my basics from second hand stores if I can. There is already too much clothing in the world cause nobody wears their stuff out.
Also, the more time I get out of clothes, the more shares and memecoins I can buy.
Pic is a pair of underwear that I've almost used up. I reckon there's less than five wears in this pair before the waistband fully comes off.
