The folks who control our economic policy (fiscal and monetary) are Keynesians. They believe that the economy should grow as long as overall spending increases. Thus they will pamp the money supply. Im in the Austrian school which differs fundamentally from these theories, however with the way the fed’s monetary policy has effected the market over the past century, their Keynesian strategies will most likely have short term success.
