Apple cannot scale the "vision pro". EROEI has sunk very far from early 2000s. Every time computing devices have gotten smaller in scale their recycling costs have gone up to extract the rare metals that are used more and more in these devices. We will be depleted more and more of the metals to produce computing devices. Fun fact there is only one cesium mining operation in all of north america, we get most of our cesium from china which is getting more and more disconnected from international trade. Cesium is crucial to GPS technology, modern timekeeping technology, missile guidance laser systems. Iphones alone are manufactured at a loss 5x their MSRP. Can you imagine the per unit margin losses for the vision pro? Apple will never ever in our lifetime manufacture a "spatial computer" for under 1k MSRP. You cannot recoup losses from software based sales alone when you cannot scale as far as you did with the ipod from 2003 to 2009 or iphone from 2011 to 2016. Computers will go backwards to 1950s levels costs this century and bring the SP500 down with it.

Anyone find it spooky that banks that are going bust are banks holding 10 figure and up assets yet we dont see a wave of community banks going under? Smaller banks should have more CRE liabilities on their books. Am I missing something? FRC had awful books though. Noninterest liabilities over noninterest assets was too high for years.
