im a person who bought req at ICO, almost 2 years ago now. i want to clarify some of my thoughts as to why i think req is a failed project at this point, and why i have sold the rest of my tokens. When I first purchased REQ, i was under the impression that the team was one of the most proffessional in the field. They had a clear cut roadmap, a large team of developers with previous experience, as well as a strong brand and a good idea of what they wanted REQ to be: A triple entry accounting platform with instantaneous crypto-to-fiat transactions, cross-chain transactions, and the ability for anyone to build on top of that platform. In addition, the token had strong tokenomics, including a burning mechanism to decrease the total supply over time as adoption continued. The ICO made req out to be the Paypal of crypto, and I was convinced.

However, the team soon began to display their incompetence. The first quarter roadmap goal was partially missed, however their communication during this time remained stellar, with regular bi monthly updates that still gave me confidence. They also partnered with Wikimedia France and had several groups developing third party apps. Their announcement of starting a fund for other developers to build on top of their platform was also a great idea.

The protocol has really started to take shape. I feel that the price of req will eventually moon and the project will gather recognition — as long as the team aren’t being misleading about their sapo with pwc and other real use cases under non disclosure agreements. Because they only give us hints. I am going to trust them for my own sanity since I’m never going to sell/trade anyways

If the real adoption use cases fall flat I’ll be pretty sad. But with the level of thought put into the well-detailed V2 tech specs, it seems to me as tho real work is progressing with real applicable projects and already existing contracts with companies such as pwc and the fishing supply chain tracking company that was leaked a couple months ago. And if this is the case and the accounting use case gets up and running, and if it actually automated and saves money....whew we’re gonna fly. Accounting is huge. And if that goes well then a lot of time will be freed to work on other use cases. I’d really like to see a super simple Twitch donation app using req, similar to the tip bot on reddit now which is quite good too It doesn’t mean anything necessarily so keep this in mind. But a higher level exec at EBay has “liked” a few posts of Request on LinkedIn.

My singular complaint that I don’t feel is whining is that I wish we had more tweets just buzzing with content related to req (accounting, payments, current inefficiencies in the space, etc). This kind of social media outreach with related content is very important these days — for actual people like us but also for google and seo and longer term “visibility” of a company online. The team mentioned generating content in the ama so I also have high hopes that with the rebrand will come a steady slew of premade related content to stimulate the internets better

The volume is going to be out of this world. The supply of REQ tokens will dry up faster than you can blink, nobody will be selling these for years to the humans that are demanding them because they're such good investments. People will be paying hundreds of dollars for just one of my hundreds of thousands of tokens.
