lol sorry fren you can bake the next one, i have to go do homework anyway. it's annoying when somebody snipes you and you have a thread ready to go, but i thought the thread was near the 300 mark

baking is addictive, isn't it? it's fun to kinda curate peoples' experience. i think for me part of it is the knowledge that /xsg/ is legitimately one of the most important places on the internet right now (assuming XRP really does become the global bridge currency etc).

my reasoning is this:

-since 2016, 4chan has been one of the most important sites on the internet. a lot of memes start here, but more importantly, those memes have been bleeding over into reality at an increasingly frequent and noticeable level- Trump's election, the creation of the alt-right, various mass shooters posting here, Qanon, etc

-currently we're seeing an economic shift based around a narrative featuring a bunch of online nerd investors coordinating their efforts and funds to take down the economy. (clearly it's not all organic, but it's the narrative.)

-/r/wallstreetbets got the attention, but /biz/ has played a central role in the GME saga as well. 4chan culture kinda bled over to the mainstread internet culture in the Gamestop arc- /biz/ has been talking about Gamestop in /smg/ and elsewhere since last fall

-there are many Ripple-focused communities on the internet (Twitter and Youtube being the biggest, but also discord, FB groups, subreddits etc) but /xsg/ is the one that's most important because of its location on 4chan

-when XRP moons, and it will, /XSG/ will become notorious

additionally, there's a theory that Ripple's cross-platform social media presence is an ARG, like Cicada 3301, with the different riddlers and influencers and breadcrumbs. /xsg/ seems like it's part of that, with the digits posts and insiders and whatnot.
