You both miss the point that focus on sexuality is the real problem here, both constricting it and promoting it are the real issue.
Constriction was a necessary step in the march of progress, but the emphasis should be on promoting sex as what it is: a very small but essential part of life, not much higher in the chain than eating or sleeping.

Abstinence isn't what should be promoted, any more than homosexuality should be promoted. Impressionable young people should be given the truth. The truth is, as we progress into higher consciousness, sex and sexuality should become more and more of a pleasant side feature of life, rather than the major focal point it is today.
Sexual education should consist of promoting the purpose and fundamentals of sex, rather than the ways it can be abused to achieve a temporary high.

What people do with that information is their business. But Sexual deviancies like homosexuality, or even heterosexual anal and oral sex, and everything outside and in-between beyond the purpose of sex (procreation), don't belong in our propaganda (school, media, etc.). There shouldn't be stigma against these things, but they also shouldn't be openly promoted.
