The people who let their money sit in an account are doing a huge disservice to themselves, as I am sure you already tried to explain to no avail.
Some savings is great for emergencies, but even penny in a savings account is constantly losing value, and the opportunity cost for not doing anything at all with it is insane, even just purchasing a rental property or putting a portion into an index fund.

Google a local coin shop near you. You can call and ask what they have in stock. Or, you can just do an online dealer, but you have to wait for delivery and something can happen in transit so you have to make sure it is insured shipping. LCS (local coin shop) you just walk in, pay, and walk out with your silver and gold

Was tempted to borrow against my 401k via the coofs act since the markets are at ath now too, but left it alone.
