you do realize every environment in sub saharan africa is utterly unforgiving, zero infrastructure, and the worst environment imaginable for any and all forms of infrastructure? even with the same funding per square km they would need easily triple the funding per square area that basically every other part of the world requires to function?

a vast majority of Africa lies between tropic of cancer and capricorn, and is extra humid, with wildlife more aggressive and dangerous than any other continent on the planet

the only exceptions are everything north of the sahara, and small portions of the tip of south africa (but this portion of south africa still has many problems that come from its geographical position)
