it's a gamble. 50/50.
everyone picks a side, and hopes they're right.
best advice is to always use stop loss.

Does anyone remember when the exchange was supposed to launch in fucking Q1, then Q2, and now... TBD? The last thing I saw was some cryptic FDIC bullshit on their Twitter like a month ago but since then jack shit.

I haven't been here in few months, good to be back.
But what happened to Digibyte? Why are there no threads on it? Where's bitbean, I can't find it on CMC? And wtf happened to Signatum, I thought it was revolutionary and Bittrex listing would happen?
At least the ChainLink thing died off completely. I remember so many shill threads about it in September and October.

Every single week
>I wanna go to [switzerland/amsterdam/canada/aruba/nashville] soon, we need to go!

We've already visited D.C. and Ireland in the last 6 months. I'm making $70k which is like $45k after taxes. She makes like $30k as a teacher.

But she's also an absolute rocket and I'm a disgusting 5/10 manlet, so I've sorta gotta hedge my bets here.

For the ppl working in their PhD: Do you like it? Right now I have a job I hate and I am sure that I can't do that for the rest of my life.

I have an offer for a PhD position at a good uni. Con is that I don't know too much about the subject of the department right now (am mathematician, mentor would be engineering, subject a lot of machine learning stuff and blockchain, which I find interesting.

Would you go for a PhD again? I like learning new shit.

I also own REQ so maybe idgaf soon.

Hypothetically BTC hits 5K. Is that when everyone buys in again, and bullrun starts OR it means we fall under 2K and crypto is over? What's the price of mining 1BTC in USD? Do You believe that miners will let that happen ? NVIDIA/AMD will let that happen(they are making bank on those prices)? Serious thread, let's have a discussion here

One thing that absolutely fucking boggles me is the amount of brainlets in the crypto space. All you have to do is know how a blockchain works, do a bit of research, know whether a token or a coin actually has a value or if it's just a cashgrab and that's it, you can 100-300x your money over the coming years. It's that fucking simple. Yet you go on reddit, twitter, even facebook groups and what you see are literal hordes of retards investing into the biggest shitcoins and scams and literally never investing into the solid coins. The solid coins aren't even mention. On one hand it makes me angry as fuck, but on the other hand it makes me happy that I have to beat a bunch of brainlets to get rich.

Btw, here is a list of solid coins that if you own, you will make it by 2021. If you shitcoin isn't here, you're doing something wrong:
ETH
OMG
NEO
IOTA
XMR
NANO
WTC
ZRX
ARK
LINK
REQ
ENG
RDN
RLC/SONM

So now that we know that there is bear market, why aren't more people buying bitcoin and then shorting it, making shitload of money. I just bought $3000 worth of bitcoin and once it arrives in my coinbase wallet I am going to short it and make money once it drops under $4k. Any flaws in my plan?

Is there anything illegal about establishing a business to bid on purchasing your own home's mortgage debt and then taxing the tax burden of writing off your debt, as you are now the owner of it?

I am sorry if this question comes up a lot - I can't find a wiki, and I can't articulate what I mean well enough to get meaningful results on the archives.

Is it possible to put a very small amount of money into the stocks and shares system for the sake of having an attachment to a certain ebb and flow of a stock - not necessarily to make money (either efficiency, or at all).

My naive view imagines being able to invest ~£5 to £25 in some company, for more the reason to have a squiggly line or end-of-day %change to be attached to and interested in (in the same way as an attachment to a football team gives a nice diversion to check scores).

I understand that the change would be small, but it seems like a cool idea to have some stock streaming integration on the computer (rainmeter-y), to check every now and again and go 'ooh, my #### has grown a bit today'.

I fear that this trade would have to go through a third party, though, and so the entry barrier for investing money would be higher than I would be willing to put into. Not doing it for the money seems to be a novel concept for any websites I've tried reading, and I haven't managed to get very far. Any information, advice, where to start or links to resources would be appreciated.

Sorry for what could be an oft-asked and tiresome question, and thanks for your time.

tl;dr: can you invest baby money into stocks to have pretty numbers to watch?
