On-chain, reputation providers would track the metrics in our white paper, page 18. Off-chain, they're free to validate node operator's identities, provide listing services, etc. Though a reputation provider isn't required to do anything off-chain."

You aren't going to get any good contracts without subscribing to a reputation manager. Banks aren't going to touch nodes outside of the network. You will either have to pay 20% to linkpool or market sell.

Sergey is protecting us. Read the REQ smartcontract. If you make a REQ payment and it uses a link oracle to make the payment your LINK could get BURNed along with your REQ. Sergey noticed this fatal flaw and has cut ties with those French commies.

Lets remember that what is cool about LINK is that is creates Trustless Oracles. This means that nodes are financially incentived to provide accurate data.

This is essentially the bottom floor. This is at 10% of bond payments and nothing else. This doesn't factor in other use cases or ROI of running a node.
