Never cared about BTC, never have, never will. The only hope this space has of gaining mass adoption is smart contracts. "Digital gold" is essentially a ponzi. Ethereum is more sound money than BTC.
>but muh inflation
>but muh turing complete
Plans as of now are to make ETH deflationary in the next two years and also smart contracts are now audited lowering risk. ETH has surpassed BTC in most metrics now. Market cap soon to follow.

ETH tokens will always allow you to utilize the ETH network to run dapps. This has intrinsic value as it costs money to run a computer. It has real value, I don't think BTC does though.

It's over for BTC bros. Digital horse manure is being too kind. At least with ETH you can use it to buy computing power on the ETH network. What can you do with BTC? Nothing.

Agreed. I'm not sure why anyone is buying BTC. The thing it had going for it really was that it was the liquidity provider. Now most volume is vs USDT/USDC/Dai etc. People will likely still always use BTC as an SOV, but ETH is going to flip it in the next two years.

New traders are getting into crypto and they want to trade against dollars, not BTC.

The not-inventor of proof-of-work (which was actually invented by a woman called Cynthia Dwork in 1993), along with a few other boomer OG cypherpunk mailing list members, have sadly become senile conspiracist nutjobs that are toxic parasites to the field.
>Adam Back is a particularly good example of this. When Satoshi emailed him about Bitcoin in 2008, he never thought it would work. He first got involved when Bitcoin reached it's ATH at $1000 in 2013, opening his first GitHub account the next day.
>Back and his Blockstream friends have bullied anyone who disagreed with them out of Bitcoin, such that once-great discussion forums such #bitcoin-wizards have become dead as researchers who dare to discuss anything more interesting than "Schnorr signatures" have been driven out.
>Instead, applied cryptography researchers who find Bitcoin's technological conservatism unappealing, have found a place in the Ethereum research community to apply new technology like zkSNARKS, STARKS and other dist. systems research, which Back calls "perpetual motion scams".
>Meanwhile, the most "interesting" thing that Blockstream has done? Put a Bitcoin node in space because it's cool and rockets are fun. Oh, and launch a centralised sidechain for centralised exchanges to settle transfers. So much for the original cypherpunk vision!

Yup. ETH will soon have lower inflation rate and it will actually be used for securing the settlement layer for the future economy. BTC hodlers are retarded. I'd rather own fecal matter than BTC. At least it can be used as fertilizer and other things.

Nah, BTC is on its death bed and whales are starting to cash out. No point in trying to get a better entry now, cats out of the bag, BTC is gonna die. People will look back at the charts in a few years and think "Man if only I had traded my BTC in for LINK and ETH in summer 2020 I would be so fucking rich right now..."

I just sold all my BTC for ETH. BTC's days are numbered. The only purpose of this coin was to sell it to someone else at a higher price. It has no utility beyond that. Ethereum and Defi is going to be a trend that lasts for the next year or two. Probably up until ETH 2.0. I seriously wouldn't doubt if the flippening was a few months away. I think the writing is on the wall. Everyone, myself included, was just hoping to get a better price of ETH vs BTC. I bought down to the bottom, but this break out has convinced me that Ethereum is way more bullish than BTC..

BTC might even take the whole market down, but I don't care I will just use cash to buy more ETH at this point. I have no idea why anyone is still holding that garbage, other than they are too retarded to figure out how to exchange it/they are an NPC who just buys the highest marketcap project.

But why You are right eth got chance to stay longer than maxifags think is: paradox of crypto reveals fact taht BTC social consensus is simply not enough to dethrone mighty dollar.
In history of human race only 1 thing had the ability to change status qou: TECH.

Whenever Bitcoin's mcap value drops dramatically vs ETH what will the new narrative be?

https://cryptobriefing.com/data-shows-ethereum-better-money-than-bitcoin/

>Data Shows Ethereum Is Better Money Than Bitcoin

>Over half of all Bitcoin hasn’t moved in over a year. One in five Bitcoins hasn’t moved since 2015. Only 0.36% of Bitcoin, or about one in 280, has been through a payment processor in the past two years, said Cochran.

>When it comes to usage as money, Ether is 440 times more transacted than Bitcoin. This demonstrates that Ethereum is regularly used to facilitate real-world transactions.

Imagine not seeing how eth literally shits on btc in future

>Custodial to custodial store of value full of baghodlers and early zelots used only to sell it to greater fool
>no cap beats 21 mil meme in security by 1000x
>issuance will be close to 0 eventually you know when we don't rely to bullshit narratives to survive like blockstream and gold memes

Even if it only gets to 1k in the next year crypto market will go apeshit. ETH bears will most likely kill themselves.

I talk to every ETH bear I see on telegram, they are ALWAYS bagholding some "ETH KILLER" or don't understand the tech behind it.

I was playing a vidya online a few weeks ago and some guy mentioned that he had half a bitcoin and this idiot stoner went "WOAH D-D-DUDDDEEEEE.... THATS LIKE $4000 HOLY SHIT!" I then mention my stack of 100 ETH and he just asked "what is that a bitcoin copy?"

This lets me know that the vast majority of dumb money (if you think $4000 is a lot, you are typically a shit head) has no idea of crypto outside of BTC. Once the public hears people talking about ETH they will go in on it. My guess is the scaling could really take it to new heights.
