those are 2x4 style lumber planks all stacked up. Each tank was I think about 2 stories tall, there was a larger feeder tank too behind those two for another process i never figured out.

ore bins like that are a treat! they still appear once in a while in my area too but again, time hasnt been as kind here for wooden structures. Most of the ones that still stand here are built like log cabins, simple stacks of wood with a shoot at the bottom.
