>go fishing after work to take my mind off things
>go home and play vidya or watch tv dreading having to go back the next day

>wake up at 6 AM 4-6 hours later
>try to think of ways I can call in sick but realize I have no excuse and just go in and put up with it again
>haven't taken a sick day in over a year

It's really starting to wear on me guys. I think about applying for new jobs but I realize it's just going to be the same shit at a different company. I at least have a few friends here I occasionally go get drinks with. I've basically resided myself to just going no fucks given mode. I basically just turn myself off when I'm there. I used to stay late but now I don't really care enough to do so. Some days I will get home and just crash and go to sleep at 6 or 7 PM. I feel like I don't enjoy anything in my life anymore.

I'm 26, I work a decent paying white-collar job, have a roof over my head and food to eat. Why do I feel so empty though?

I'm 4 years removed from college and it feels like life is just passing me by. I'm doing fairly well and moving up the ranks at work, but that's all. Work, commute, eat, watch Netflix for a couple of hours, sleep, repeat 5 times. Maybe once or twice a month I'll see some family or old friends but other than that it's just pure monotony.

The days drag on but the days weeks blur into weeks and weeks blur into months and months blur into years. I fear one day I'm going to wake up 65 with nothing to show for it. A buddy of mine said his co-worker literally died at his desk last week - he was 63 and just about to retire in a month. Stroke.

Fuck guys, how do I escape this wagecuck life? I feel like I'm just on a hamster wheel and I'm running toward something but I don't know what. There's gotta be more to life than eat, work, sleep and die right?

I miss it anon... those saturday evenings, when dozens of guilds showed up at the cathedral for a weekly ceremony. Afterwards, we would form groups and ride out into the world to patrol Arati, hillbrad foothills, etc. We would deny the horde their quests, and soon... horde reinforcements would arrive. Resulting in massive world pvp battles between tarren mill and south shore.

Or that time when me and my band of Night Elf hunters lay in ambush, using shadow melt. We would exit the SM all at the same time, firing off a cloud of arrows at unsuspecting hordies. They all died in those narrow passes anon... they all died.

The glory... the honor... fuck. I miss it. Vanilla was best.
