I still love our current ASE...
If you're referring to our non-PM coinage, I agree 100%.

There's pros and cons.
- ASEs are most recognized and in demand in America, and many other places
- ASEs are also often counterfeited, for the same reason
- rounds tend to be cheaper, and so allow you to accumulate more ozs per fiat
- if you're a bong or a euro, you might avoid certain taxes by buying certain gov't coins

At the end of the day, it's a personal choice. I try to balance liquidity (in-demand coins or rounds) with max ozs per fiat. I want a big stack, but I also don't want to hate the sight of my stack because I bought mostly ugly rounds that no one wants, just because they were on sale.
Most anons here have well-diversified stacks, with some gov't coins, some nice rounds from well known mints with a rep, some ugly rounds that were cheap, and a few meme or I-want-it pieces that they probably paid too much for.
The percentage of each is up to you and your stacking focus at the moment.

Pic semi-related, I will probably never buy because they run $200-$3500, but whooooo baby I love how the reverse proofs look.

You've been stacking for months and have 200oz and you just now heard about ASEs for the first time?

Definitely trollin'.
Feeling like Charlie Brown and the football, but...
just in case you're serious, yes, they're the USA flagship gov't 1oz round. High-ish premiums but most recognized/in demand. 2020 is also last year of a beautiful popular design with possibly ugly replacement that can't be changed for 25 yrs and might have chip tracking, so 2020s and earlier MIGHT be especially in demand. Buy some if you can find a good price, fren.
