really seems like the reason given is just that "this thing is not supposed to be in bitcoin". that there's no technical reason why it's pad to have P2SH.
if i'd have to guess i think it's more likely it has to do with some patent or legal reason rather than just being ideologically motivated.

at lower time frames, at least, support and resistance levels seem to work. You'll often get reliable bounces off them. When price dumps or shoots upwards, it'll usually stop moving at the extreme high or low of the trend. It might continue past it, but there's usually a pullback before that happens
