>tell me a humerous story about jerome powell raising the basis points by .75

Once upon a time, Jerome Powell, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, decided to raise the basis points by 0.75. He thought it was a great idea to show the world that the US economy was strong and stable.

But little did he know that this decision would create chaos in the financial markets. The stock market started to fall, and people were panicking. Investors were calling their brokers, asking what was going on.

One investor, in particular, was really upset. He had put all of his savings into the stock market, and now he was losing money because of Powell's decision. He decided to call the Federal Reserve and give them a piece of his mind.

When he got through to Powell's office, he was put on hold. After a few minutes, Powell picked up the phone and said, "Hello, this is Jerome Powell, how can I help you?"

The investor said, "Mr. Powell, why did you raise the basis points by 0.75? Don't you know that you're ruining my life?"

Powell replied, "I'm sorry, sir, I didn't mean to ruin your life. I was just trying to do what's best for the economy."

The investor said, "Well, you're not doing what's best for me! Can't you just lower the basis points back down?"

Powell thought for a moment and said, "Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll lower the basis points back down, but you have to promise me something."

The investor said, "What do I have to promise?"

Powell said, "You have to promise me that you'll invest in something more stable, like gold or bonds."

The investor laughed and said, "Okay, Mr. Powell, you got yourself a deal."

And that's how Jerome Powell saved the day by making a deal with an angry investor. The lesson? Never underestimate the power of a good negotiation.
