Supply/demand.
If you can slurp up this company for $94M then it's an attractive buy. The shorts may have free license to break the law at the moment to prevent a squeeze, but eventually these obligations will come due.
Also, how funny is it that short hedgies will go bankrupt BEFORE BBBY. TOP KEK

Convertible bonds do not necessarily mean death spiral financing. What could be real funny is if they tricked bears into a trap and when we squeeze BBBY issues shares at $50 each to the shorts in order to recapitalize the company at the expense of the shorts and the benefit of the shareholders. GME did something similar lol.
The problem for the shorts is that they are used to being the predator. The problem is they take an inordinate amount of risk to do so. It is comically easy to turn the table on them and basically steal their capital right out of their pockets.

Anyone else slurping up this tasty dip? I don't think the hedgies can keep it this low for long. The CUSIP change is looming and we have historical precedence for a squeeze leading up to that dreaded event. This stock is a powder keg about to blow sky high.

That's what I am thinking. Even though it seems like an eternity, they can't keep the price this low forever. The people slurping up BBBY are doing so for the squeeze and that is not the kind of buyer you want to see move in while you are naked short. I think someone is already underwater and effectively a zombie institution trapped in a short position. I literally can't even believe they could do this again after seeing what happened to GME. My personal theory is someone was already fatally short GME and their last-ditch-effort was to try and find a cellar boxing target. They went for BBBY and were outmaneuvered. The Feb 6th 120% was a squeeze and a regulatory body turned on the emergency barcode algo in order to buy time while they sort out how to fix the problem. And sure enough, literal fucking banking collapses this month too. Makes you wonder, huh? Someone was naked short and they came up short on some counterparty derivatives and the whole system is now fucked in the ass while they orchestrate some swaps/bailouts from the Fed.

That's my gameplan. I would rather lose thousands here than risk not getting paid tens of thousands in a squeeze. Hell, even a normalization of the price to $7 will give me a handsome profit. And by the looks of it, the owner of the convertible bonds appears to be a benign actor. The shills are DESPERATE for us to fear death spirals and Fudson Bay, but I think trusting the paid shills is a bad idea. I like to think about how we could be getting duped, like, could this all be am elaborate ruse to pull in "internet investors" into a trap? Maybe, but if it is BRAVO to those who orchestrated this whole thing. It's really quite elaborate if true. All the way down to the reverse psychology, lol.

You are asking for someone's opinion about something factual. If there was muh dilution then there would be an 8k.
When I see the barcode algo running I know the price is fake. The shorts are freaking out because they aren't getting the dilootion they were hoping for. And the longs have been locking the shorts into the trap for months now. At record low prices.
We all saw it. Once the emergency algo turns off this price runs to $7+. There is ZERO muh diluuuuushun.

Whoever they sold the warrants to appears to be benign. It could be an investor who has an interest in the long term success of BBBY. Icahn for instance has a brand that is sold in BBBY stores. That is just one example. It is not a foregone conclusion that convertible bonds is a guarantee death spiral. You have a narrative you are paid to shill, and your inability to prove dilution is taking place makes you SEETHE.
