If you own a company, and this one dude can secure deals for 10m profit on the regular, would you not give him 1m to keep him around? The deals and the dude are consequences of free association and free market. Nobody has to do business with you. They can go to someone else. Same principle applies to the individual. Make yourself useful to the business owner, and reap some rewards. Maybe you dont know business owners. Fine, go meet some. Or go meet people who can help you meet them. Nothing is stopping you. If you dont think they'll give you the time of day, then maybe they're just assholes, or you haven't given them a reason to speak with you. Become the person that can secure those 10m deals. Or shit, maybe just be the trustworthy and honest individual. Rare these days. You will stand out.

Not anybody else's job. It's yours to seek out opportunities. Imagine Bezos in another timeline where somebody else founded Amazon and now hes complaining that he wasnt given the opportunity to make Amazon. That could be you. You're depriving the world of your greatness. Dont do that.
